Thanks again for sharing your brilliant observations. Though I am lumbering through the Slowlane as of this moment, I use the experience as fuel for my creative and innovative fire, and everyday is one step closer to crossing over to a self-sustaining life. I feel like I have a second chance, and that’s all I can ask for. It is carrying me through my first stages of entrepreneurship, and for that, I cannot thank you enough. I have read hundreds of books in my lifetime, and the ones with real substance have brought me back twice. This material spoke to me and breathed life into an almost broken spirit. Though I have many obstacles in front of me, I am confident that I can put this knowledge and mindset to work. I’ve read all of the ‘gurus’ (including the 4 hour guy), and finally came across the goldmine that is The Millionaire Fastlane. I have no choice but to reject that notion.

I was discouraged by a guy (author’s name I can’t recall) who said that if you’re over 40, then your chances of any success are over.

I began to read (with my new abundance of free time) everything on money and success. To make things worse, I was already in the process of completing a formal education late in life (yes, I had a moment of weakness…brain was still hard-wired to the old ways), and so at this point, I become buried in debt with no source of income. And there was this Richard Branson guy starting to make a splash ? But I was never cognizant of the fact that there were people who have chosen a different path, until being ‘let go’ of a job that I had for about a decade. Still, beyond the grasp of the average guy. The only ones living large were junk bond brokers on Wall Street and ‘hair metal’ bands off of the Sunset Strip. In the eighties, it was much of the same. Being a Midwest youngster in the 70’s, there was nothing to witness outside of the blue-collar, ‘dollars for hours’ existence. I don’t know the demographics of those who have purchased the book, but I would be willing to bet that I am among the older ones (late 40’s), who has done more than his share of slow-lane driving (with a dash of sidewalkin’). I have had the Fastlane book for about 10 months now, and I feel it is a life changer.
